Paul Corfield - Beneath the Light of the Moon

This painting followed a similar moonlit scene which I’d painted just six weeks previous. This released image that we see here was created in response to a couple of customers instantly requesting similar images to the previous one. I don’t mind that as it gives the option to see where an image can go while it’s still fresh in my mind, what can be changed and be improved without copying the original. In the end this image looks nothing like the one that it followed which is what I always aim for anyway, some progress in one way or another. The moonlit images are always popular and scenes don’t get much more idyllic than this, so I can see this one being a hit, as long as it touches someone's heart, lifts their spirit in some way then I’m happy.
